1. Quotation and booking
Every event is the subject of a written quotation describing the services, dates, number of guests and total price. A booking is confirmed upon written acceptance of the quotation and payment of the deposit. The signed quotation is the reference document and prevails over these general terms for anything specific to your event.
2. Deposit and payment
A deposit of 30% of the total price confirms your booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event date. Payment can be made by Thai bank transfer or in cash; other methods may be proposed on the quotation.
3. Cancellation by the client
Cancellation 30 days or more before the event: the deposit is refunded in full. Cancellation between 15 and 29 days before the event: 50% of the deposit is refunded. Cancellation 14 days or less before the event: the deposit is retained. All refunds are made less costs already committed to third parties that cannot be recovered. Any balance already paid is refunded on the same basis. All cancellations must be notified in writing (email or WhatsApp).
4. Date changes
One date change is offered free of charge if requested at least 7 days before the event, subject to availability of venues and suppliers. Further changes may incur costs, stated before confirmation.
5. Weather and sea activities
For boat parties and sea activities, the captain or operator may cancel or modify the trip for safety or weather reasons. In that case we propose a new date as a priority or, failing that, refund the amounts paid for the affected services.
6. Guest numbers and adjustments
The final number of guests can be adjusted up to 7 days before the event; the price is revised accordingly. Beyond that date, the quotation number applies as a minimum.
7. Third-party services
Venues, boats, transport and other suppliers may apply their own conditions (security deposits, house rules, corkage). When they apply, they are stated on your quotation.
8. Client responsibilities
Guests must comply with venue and boat rules. The legal drinking age in Thailand is 20. Damage caused to venues, boats or equipment by the client or guests may be billed by the supplier concerned.
9. Liability and force majeure
Chaiyo Events organises and coordinates services provided in part by third parties. We cannot be held liable for events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure, government decisions, natural events). In such cases we work with you to reschedule or find the fairest solution.
10. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. For any question, write to info@chaiyoevents.com; we always look for an amicable solution first.
